Dr. Meagan Bellemore grew up and lived in New England for twenty-six years before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota for veterinary school. She has lived in the Midwest now for the past four plus years and is excited to explore Wisconsin! Dr. Bellemore spent the past two years providing veterinary medical care for sled dogs throughout the Midwest as a sled dog race veterinary volunteer. She’s also passionate about community service and spent the past three years helping provide free veterinary care to the tribal communities of various Native American Reservations throughout the state of Minnesota.
Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Bellemore had a career in human sports medicine as an athletic trainer for four years, and as an EMT for three years. When she’s not working, traveling, skiing, or hiking, she’s hanging out with her dog, Beckett! Her special work interests include all aspects of emergency medicine, especially trauma. She also has a passion for small ruminant and camelid medicine.
